Following an exceptional level of consultation with a wide range of members and stakeholders, Arthritis Care launched a new five-year plan in July 2007, confident that it reflects the views of the arthritis community.
The five-year plan sets out what Arthritis Care aims to achieve by 2012. We have consulted with almost 2,000 stakeholders – members, service users, volunteers, staff, the general public and those working in the field of health and disability.
The message came back loud and clear: people with arthritis want us to speak up for their needs, dispel the negative myths about the condition, and to work in closer partnership with health professionals to get Arthritis Care's services on to the ‘prescription pad’
'Putting people with arthritis first' seeks to push arthritis up the health, social care, and workplace agendas so that the 10 million people living with the condition in the UK have their needs met.
